I love my Milwaukee PACKOUT kit, kits and all my bits and pieces. I am super happy now. Had the two drawer the other day. Just got my three drawer in. Absolutely in love. I’m revamping how I do everything. This goes into the truck, the service truck nicely, goes into the shop nicely. I’m looking at a racking system. I’m happy with my wheeled cart. Getting older. We have a lot of apartment buildings.

I have my PACKOUTS for my mailbox kit, my deadbolts, and I just modular how I do things, or just grab it out of the truck or out of the shop. I don’t keep a lot of my safe opening gear in the service truck. I keep it in the shop. When I need it, I take out what I need and go to the job site. So this is gonna be great for locksmiths. I can lock it on the job tighter in the truck. Just added security. I have the smaller drawers, which is good for my pin kits. I don’t need the big drawers. This is gonna be full of deadbolts, Adams rite, the larger locks. This’ll be the, more the specialty lockout tools, maybe more the cylinders.

This is the XHorse. It’s a key tool plus. We’ll get all into the bits and pieces. I just got it – literally, a couple of hours ago and we’re gonna unbox it. And we’re going to take a peek at it, and hopefully, it’s got some cool features that I really need badly – and then we’ll talk about that too. So, let’s see what we got here. Let’s unbox it, and, let’s see if it’s got the special cables we need.

Okie dokie. What do we got here? Nice case. Here is the XHorse Key Tool Plus. So let’s see what we got here. I’ve never seen one, I’ve been looking at them online, and this may have exactly what I need. So, instructions – most instructions are useless so let’s hope for the best.

Right off the bat, it looks kind of rugged – it looks pretty good. I’ve heard good things but let’s see how it works for us. We got a couple of ports, and everything – looks really, really nice. Apparently, this can reset Toyota proxes and we’ll be putting that to the test. We’re actually going to use this as our go-to-machine. We’ve got quite a bit newer cars, and we were running across problems so let’s see if that’s got that.

What do we have in here? Cable – looks like the recharging cable. OBD 2 cable. Serial. Port connection. Couple of adapters. It looks like they’re very well built. And Xhorse supertransponders.  I’ve been happy with some of their other products – we’ll talk about that later.

What more do we got here? More cables. I haven’t looked it up but I think this is the real problem I have right now. The newer Fords – if they go into alarm, you have to reset the alarm and nothing we have can do it. So, this is what started the big push. If you looked into my previous videos, I have five or six car key programmers and nothing has this at the moment. Though, I think one of the products may have something but this is what we’re running across – an awful lot of. Newer Fords, the alarm is going off, and you can not program a key without this and the compatible software in here.

What else we got. Box is excellent. This looks like a flasher. This looks like stuff to reprogram. Again, this is just a quick unboxing. We’re gonna put this right into the field starting in the morning. So this is that kind of “late-at-night, got-it, wanted-to-unbox-it, show-it-off.” And, we’re going to play with it. Give me a couple of weeks and we’re going to have some in-depth programming of this. We’ll see what it can or can’t do. And we’re going to use this as our go-to-programmer. And then see how we do. We’re going to use the Chrysler Star – hopefully that’s in here. We have some stars cables anyway, but, we’re running across those Chrysler, Dodge, Ram with the star cable.

So, we’re going to give this a really good test starting in the morning. I’ll have some little updates as we go along. We’ll start seeing what it can or can’t do. So far, impressed. Let’s see what happens!

Knipex Bolt Cutter Review

I have had this Knipex Bolt Cutter Tool for the last couple years. It is expensive. I have had this for about two years now. It is a Knipex. It’s a German made. It is a fantastic tool. I have this in my tool case and I use it everyday. Because of the way this Bolt Cutter has performed as a superb tool, I purchase more Knipex products now and I am extremely happy with them. Cry once or cry twice. Cry once buying it. It lasts forever. What I mostly use my Knipex for, what I use mine for is basically when I get a screw too long, I will just cut it down to size, it’s just one-handed. It’s easy. I went slow on this because, so it’s one-handed. It’s easy to chop your screw down. I can take it right down to the thread. You just have to be careful of when it shoots through. If you get a deadbolt or a deadbolt with the lazy cam and I got a skinnier door and I gotta chop this back a little bit and it’s one that doesn’t have the lines on it already. The Knipex, now you just gotta be careful when you shoot it out. No problem at all. Even the hardened steel tail pieces of the hardened ones, it just slices these right through. The other ones don’t do it. For a small package, the Knipex is a fantastic little bolt cutter. It’s extremely handy for me, especially when I’m doing installations. I use it to cut screws and tail pieces every day now. So, love it. It’s been in my case, look at it. It looks brand new. It’s been in my case for about two years and the jaws are still perfect and I’ve probably cut a few things that were too big for this and the jaws are absolutely perfect. This is the second most little tool I’ve ever bought. It’s a Knipex pliers, it was under $50. Look at the size of this, it’s tiny. It’s extremely strong from what I’ve seen. I bought these for my pick case. I’ll have some stuff showing my little tools that I use for broken keys and whatnot. This is just gonna come in handy for grabbing little bits and pieces. It’s overpriced, yeah, I wanted one and I’ll show you how I put it in my, in my pick case.

I am now replacing my crescent wrenches and other pliers with the Knipex pliers. Now, I do not use this. I saw it for sale and it wasn’t expensive and I bought it and I just hang it on the shop wall, so I just thought I would show you. So this is what I use. I’ve been using this forever and in my installation kit, in my everyday carry. I saw this. I am very, very happy with my Knipex tools, so I thought I’d replace this crescent wrench in my everyday carry and it’s getting heavy, but I’m trying to make it lighter. So I replaced it with this.

So let’s just take a peek at what we got here. So what bugs the heck out of me on my crescent wrench, it doesn’t matter what you’re doing. It always comes loose. So you’re trying to use it, I put up with this my whole life. Unless you got the exact tool you’re needing, but in your locksmith case, this is what I use and I really just need, I use it mostly for mailbox locks. So I’m happy with my other tools. So this is the Knipex pliers and it’s got the little button here. look at wide that goes. So this crescent wrench is going in the spare kit. This is going in my everyday carry, in my tool case. So that’s the Knipex. Look at that. No matter what angle it does, it’s locked in. It’s not gonna move on me ’til I push the button and move it where I wanna go. So this is gonna be really handy and

Ia going to show you how I use it on a mailbox lock. So this is my mailbox lock. The Mailbox lock kit has all the different tail pieces for it. So let’s just put this tail piece on there for now. Just for the demonstrations. Normally, I usually install it first and then I put this on last. I’m trying to make this good for the camera to see. Go finger tight. Now what I can do hold my lock. Take the key out, really, put that on there. They are down there just snug. You can really over-tighten these, so be careful. Give a little test. Lube that up. So, perfect. So this tool has replaced my crescent wrench. So this Knipex pliers has now replaced my crescent wrench, which for years has driven me nuts, but I didn’t really have anything better. This is way better. I willl be using this every day now and soon I will have some more videos with this in action on job sites.

How to Rekey Weiser Kwikset Smart Key Lock: If your Weiser smart key won’t turn in the lock it is usually because the lock has malfunctioned. Also, occasionally the key will not enter the cylinder to unlock the door.

Weiser Smart Key / Kwikset Smart Key Lock.

1- Turn the working key 180 degrees,

2- insert the reset tool in the slot next to the keyway until you hear the “click”

3- remove the key,

4- insert new key and unlock and lock. Note: I do not recommend this lock, too easy to open with a simple tool.

How to Replace Key Fob Battery

  1. Remove the cover by inserting a coin, a flat blade screwdriver, or the tip of your emergency key into the side gap and carefully pry in the direction of the arrow to open the cover.
  2.  Separate the key fob case.
  3. Remove the battery.
  4. Insert a new battery with the positive pole facing up.
  5. Cover the battery with the battery cap.

It’s a four-button, three major buttons and the panic, so it’s a four-button remote. And again, it’s for a Chrysler could fit the Dodges as well. Pretty simple, it’s got a little, little tiny mark there. You can take a, I wonder if a quarter would do the trick? Yeah, a quarter would do the trick. You could take a coin and just put it in there, give it a little pry, look at that, just super easy on this one. There’s the battery right there. Very common, for quite a few of the remotes, is, let’s just see, it’s a CR2032, same as what I have here on this Energizer.

Just a little tiny pry. Whoops, flips right out. And you see, if you ever get confused to how did it come out, the contacts go onto the bottom, not where the numbers are, but the contacts for using the remote go on the bottom. So again, just clips in.

Now, I like to use brand-name Energizer, Duracell, the Panasonics are okay, the Sonys, it’s just, I want to stick with the brand names. You just put it together again. Very simple. It’s all clipped back in. Now, I’ll just show you again real quick. Now this one’s kinda easy, there are no screws, there’s nothing tricky, it’s got the little spot there, dime works, quarter works. I just give it a little twist. So just a little tiny twist, very easy, there’s nothing tricky here. And then to pull out the battery, and again, there’s a stamp right on there, CR2032, there we go. And again, it just clips together very, very nice. Very simple, hope that helps, have a good day.
